The objective of this long term campaign is to raise money for rainforest protection by acquiring and auctioning celebrity autographs on specially chosen postal covers from around the globe.

In addition to being a numbered collection of prestigious autographs on visually striking covers, each cover will include the amount of land it has protected (in a special stamp), which will, we believe, increase the appeal of the relevant cover. For example if a cover makes a profit of £116, it will enable the World Land Trust to protect 100,000 sq ft of Rainforest and this amount will be written in the area provided on the special stamp.

The above calculation is based on an average land price of £50 per acre.

Every cover will be individually numbered and viewable through our online database. Only 1 cover per celebrity will be sought for the collection, therefore if you own the Jack Nicklaus cover, you will own the only Jack Nicklaus cover in the Famous People For The Rainforest collection.

NOTE - All the signed covers in our collection have been acquired by us writing to the celebrities direct. This not only means that we can guarantee the authenticity of each signature, but also that the celebrity has signed the cover in the knowledge that he or she is supporting the rainforest.

Famous People For The Rainforest will be launching soon...

Please note the 'profit' from each cover will be the amount of the sale less associated costs e.g. auction fees and cover acquisition costs.

If, however, we can find a sponsor to meet these basic costs we will ensure that every penny raised is spent on rainforest protection.
